Although I'm a LIVE music entertainment writer I'm sometimes compelled to spread the word about a new club, bar, lounge or restaurant I happen across while on my journalistic travels. I often write about up and coming music talents performing in our area but this time I'd like to tell you about a really interesting venue. It's a well known fact that Remy's Bistro has great food, service and entertainment. Consistently voted into the top ten of all restaurants in Naples Remy's Bistro offers a menu based on the ever popular and healthy Mediterranean diet. With great food at better-than-reasonable prices and a large dinning room with a comfortable homey ambiance, it's no wonder Remy's has such a devout regular customer base. In the lounge section of Remy's you will find a large well equipped "Full" bar, several dinning tables with both chairs and booths, attentive servers that always seem to be one step ahead of you and, my favorite thing of all.., a bandstand.
One morning while driving in Naples I suddenly got the urge to get a cup of coffee and maybe a bite to eat. So, I pulled into the shopping plaza on the Southwest corner of Pine Ridge road and Airport-Pulling road. Earlier my wife had mentioned that Remy's Bistro was now serving breakfast so as we made our way into the plaza I saw a sign that read " Now Open For Breakfast" just below the Remy's Bistro sign. I was in the mood for something new and I knew Remy's for their great lunches and dinners so I parked and we entered. We were immediately greeted and seated and a cup of coffee was on the table in front of me within seconds. The atmosphere that morning was soothing and very relaxing (...the Mimosa didn't hurt) and when the meal came I was puzzled. The presentation was stunning and for a few seconds I had to wonder how they could offer the meal for such a low price. This breakfast far exceeded my expectations and as far as my overall experience I would be hard pressed to compare it to another breakfast place in this area. If you often dine out for breakfast like my wife and I do, you simply MUST go to Remy's Bistro! You will not be disappointed with the superior food and lower-than-you-would-expect prices.
While relaxing with a second cup of coffee I noticed a stack of PULSE magazines at the host's station. As I stood up to get a copy I noticed a small stage, or bandstand if you will, and inquired about the entertainment. More specifically, how to get my band (Moony Mann Band) booked as we specialize in dinner/dances. Co-owner, Kosta Jankovski told me to send him a link to my website so he could check us out so I handed him my business card so he could go see and hear for himself. The next day I got an email confirmation from Kosta with a date... That date has come and gone and we apparently performed well enough for the dinning crowd at Remy's to have been asked to do it again. Our next performance will be on April 4th, Easter Sunday 6pm-9pm.
If you enjoy soft music and maybe a romantic dance, a spirit or aperitif, a very well presented healthy meal with unbeatable service and prices then you will do well to dine at Remy's Bistro. And, as for as breakfast goes... just take my advice and try it.
